Lucy Liu is set to embrace her inner warrior. The 39-year-old actress will lend her voice to "Afro Samurai: Resurrection," a two-hour sequel to the animated series starring Samuel L. Jackson, Spike TV announced Thursday. Liu will play Sio, a seductive and sadistic mastermind out to destroy Jackson's samurai. "When we first created the character of Sio, we knew that Lucy Liu would be perfect for the role," said executive producer Leo Chu. "We thought we owed it to ourselves to at least ask her, never dreaming that she would say yes." Liu's most recent animated outing was in this summer's "Kung Fu Panda." Other credits include "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and TV shows such as "Ally McBeal" and "Cashmere Mafia." Mark Hamill is also slated to star in "Afro Samurai: Resurrection," playing a servant and protector to Liu's character. The movie is set to premiere on Spike TV in January. [SOURCE]

Lucy attended a panel for ABC's show "Dirty. Sexy Money" and the following network party. She looked absolutely stunning at both events, so check out all the beautiful pictures in the gallery. And here is a cute little snipped of what happened at the panel. It seems like Lucy is getting along great with her new co-stars. "A reporter asks Liu and Krause about "the special moment" they just shared up on stage. (I didn't see it, but apparently he was whispering stuff into her ear. And she was enjoying it. A lot.) They both decline to reveal what transpired, although Liu's giggling suggests that it was naughty. Krause jokes that he feels like he's just been "busted" for passing notes in class." x64 ABC TCA Summer Party 2008 x13 2008 Summer TCA Tour - Day 10

First of all I need to say that I am really sorry for the recent lack of updates. But I have been really busy with life and some of my other sites. I did actually add a lot of images of Lucy attending the "Kung Fu Panda" L.A. Premiere a while ago. I am planning some big changes for this site. For starters we're gonna get a new layout soon. And I will convert the site to wordpress. You'll just have to wait a few more weeks for that. Lucy attended a "Kung Fu Panda" press conference in Tokyo earlier today: x30 "Kung Fu Panda" Tokyo Press Conference x61 "Kung Fu Panda" Japan Premiere It is currently TCA week in California. And I'm hearing that Lucy will be present at a "Dirty Sexy Money" panel. She will probably also attend the ABC TCA party later this week.

Film stars Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman and Lucy Liu are set to attend the premiere of their new film, Kung Fu Panda, in London later. The animated film follows the story of bungling panda Po - voiced by Black - who aspires to be a kung fu warrior. Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan, who also voice characters in the film, will not be attending the screening. The film had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May and opens in UK cinemas next month. During an interview to promote the film in Cannes, Black accidentally confirmed the open secret that Jolie was pregnant with twins. The film has been a hit in the US and Canada, taking $60m (£30.4m) in its opening weekend at the box office. But some in China have urged the country's censors to ban the film there in revenge for Steven Spielberg's decision to pull out of the Olympics in his role as artistic adviser. Spielberg founded Dreamworks, the production company behind Kung Fu Panda. [SOURCE]

Current conventional Hollywood wisdom stipulates that if you want to make a movie, it had better be a sequel, remake, prequel or adaptation from another medium (comics, video games, 40-year-old sitcoms). But with conventional wisdom comes oddities and exceptions. Case in point: Lucy Liu's attempts to re-launch a Charlie Chan franchise with herself in the starring role (she would play the detective's granddaughter). "It's been a long time," Liu laments of the seemingly stagnant development process. In fact, it's been eight years since she began circling the would-be franchise. "It has a history and that makes it more difficult to bring it to life because you want to pay homage to what it was. Yet you don't want to completely change it. If it's something completely new, you can kind of do anything you wanted." [SOURCE]

Dirty girl Lucy Liu is swapping partners. The 39-year-old actress, currently voicing a martial-arts-fighting viper in Kung Fu Panda, confirms she's joining ABC's Dirty, Sexy Money now that the network's Cashmere Mafia is sleeping with the cashmere fishes. Who will she be playing on Money? Is it a regular role? Recurring? Or a guest stint, like her arc on Ugly Betty? Liu says she isn't even sure. "Honey, you have to tune in. I mean, you know, you work on something and you don't even know if you made the final cut." Fair enough. Besides which, Liu acknowledges, she's still feeling the sting of Mafia's cancellation. "We had such a fun time on it and I felt like it was really a great thing to be a part of because it was something that I hadn't seen on TV myself." Liu came to fame on TV's Ally McBeal a decade ago, but has until recently almost exclusively been making films. Still, she doesn't consider her return to prime-time turf a step backward. "To me, it's not about the idea of what's the medium. It's just what I find character-wise more interesting. And creatively for me, too. Because when I was doing Ally McBeal, I was able to do tons of different movies too." [SOURCE]
